lyrics

Another one
New day's begun
I see the sun but nothing else is different
I'm still at home
I work alone
Stare at my phone
Pass the hours away

I wanna be in a scene that somebody else made
I wanna move to a groove that somebody else laid
I wanna breathe in the smell of the skin that someone else is living in
Let their aliveness touch me so I change
How long will we wait?

It's not so rough
I've got my love
We’re making stuff
Building, filming, baking
We paid our bills
We’re healthy still
Got ways to kill time from day to day

I wanna go to a show that somebody else plays
I want a taste of a flavor somebody else creates
I wanna breathe in the smell of the skin that someone else is living in
Let their aliveness touch me so I change
How long will we wait?

I want to stare over there at somebody else’s face
I want to feel something real that’s from somebody else’s day
I want to sing with a drink raised to somebody’s birthday cake
I want to groan at a joke 'cause somebody’s pulling my leg
I want a moment of holding you close in my warm embrace
I want to lock in the pocket and rock it with no delay
I want to cram all the family together for holidays
I want to play with the babies as they grow from phase to phase
I want to cry my goodbyes over those who were taken away
I want to get on a jet and fly to a foreign place
I want to drown in a crowd, just a small part of something great
I want to dwell in the realm once again that everybody’s living in
Let that aliveness flood me every day
How long till it’s safe?
How long will we wait?
